Lovely. Thanks for your replies. I've actually raised them on Liquifry (2&3) so far, and was just looking at some of the other stuff they could have. Knowing that it's probably more hassle than it's worth, they'll probably end up having the smallest adults I can fish out, and the others will go...

I'm 'fairly' new to fishes...having had my tank up and running (post-cycling) for 9 weeks (ish). I've recently had a batch of guppy fry (21). I have common Pl*cos (yes, I do know how big they can grow) who are about 2-3 inches long. But their poo is about 6-7 inches long!!! :D It looks like a long, dark, thin piece of wire. Can someone confirm that this is normal?! I feed the tank a combination of : Dried flakes Frozen worms...

I have a 6 gallon bare-bottomed tank, containing 21 8-day old guppies. I left it bare-bottomed so that it'd be easier to clean, and safer for the little ones etc. BUT, HOW do I clean it?! I use a syphon for my main tank, but I'm scared of sucking the little ones up!! Is there a better/easier...

Infact, I'm a teeny bit jealous of the sexy molly pictured above...she gets a damned more of it than I do!! AND she gets it from a 'monster' of a man! :lol:

It's usually got a 'tulip' logo for it. It's a mode that allows you to take photos of "close up" photos...erm...the technicalities of it I'm unsure of, but I know it's good for closeups of small things. It's just a pain in the arse that fish never stay still!! :lol:

I've found that reflections are kept to a minimum with an altered angle between the camera and the tank... These are as good as I've been able to take, myself - And I think, I almost always tend to get better ones if I DON'T use the optical zoom to it's greatest advantage...then using...

Hold the camera as close as possible to the tank - and at a slight angle. A dark room is better, 'cause then you don't have window reflections in the glass...If you have a digital camera, try experimenting, varying the angle, distance, flash/no flash, curtains closed/open etc...you'll find it...

Argh! The reading in the 5 gallon (UK) tank which contains the fry has between 0.25 and 0.5 nitrIte...I've done one water change there already today, and it's a little better than it was initially (0.50). I am very much aware that I need it to be 0, and that it's harmful if it isn't, but how...
