My rainbow shark does an amazing job at eating algea. He's always cleaning my plants, walls, and gravel. They can get kinda big, but i think 55gal is big enough to house him, mine is about 1.75" right now and he isn't growing to fast. I'm not even sure if they're intended to clean algea, but...

Crappy tire sells LED christmas lights now that use actual LED's, not regular bulbs. So i'm guessing that's what he/she is using. I was actually going to buy some for my tank this week.

That's what i intended, BUT i'm usually in bed a little after midnight (don't mind that it's 4am here now) and my tank lights go off at 12:15am, so i don't really have much time to watch them. Maybe one of these days i'll go to bed early so i can watch them.

I have this little wireless video camera that transmits to a wireless receiver that attaches to any TV.... so, i now have the camera infront of my tank, and the receiver hooked up to my tv in my room, so whenever i want to watch my fish swimming around i just have to put my tv on to the 'video'...

Good thing you caught it when you did. I would still keep a close watch on your fish for the next little while, they may be healthy now, but the stress from the massive temp drop could do some damage. I hope i won't though.

Just to give an update from my last post from a few hours ago, the lights are out in the tank, and all 3 loaches are out swimming and searching for food. I was actually very worried about them, but i guess they come out only at night now, that's why i keep missing them. They used to be out...

Rainbow sharks are known to be agressive. I have one in my tank and he leaves everyone alone, but i guess i'm just lucky. But like i said, they are a semi-agressive shark. The fish in the tank should be of similar size. I don't know anything about the fisbh you have though. EDIT: I forgot to...

I just read the stuff about the Christmas Moss with the mesh to cover the back of the tank, and i really like the idea. What i'm wondering about is the heater and filter inlet. Do i cover them, go behind them, or what?
