What is the best uv anf filters to use. is it better to have a combi or separate. Pond is 1000 gallons Have a fish mate 25watt combi at the moment(3 months old) but am still getting algae. B)

Cheers for reply Dragon. He has alredy added fish. Would he be able to use accuclear with the fish in there. He has alredy got some of them barley straw packs in.

I was told to make a soloution of 2 parts vodka to 6 parts water and put your poorly fish in. It will send him to sleep. quickly and painless for him. I would hate to see them suffer - ie down the loo. Definate no no.

I learnt the hard way. Got 2 tiger barb amd 2 green barb. within days i hade 4 guppied gone, 1 zebra danio and an albino cory. :unsure:

I have now found information on these. It is not actually a golden frog. It is an albino african clawed frog!!!! The bad news is he will have to go - he eats fish!!!! The pet shop told me he was compatable in a community tank - idiots!! Cheers anyway. Peter

Cheers CM. I dont know the scientific name. They were only defined in the pet shop as Golden Frogs. That is all I know bout him and that he is a golden/bream colour with black eyes. He eats tropical flakes. Peter :alien:

Anyone heared of these. I got one, put him in my new tank which has been maturing for the past 2 weeks. But i dont know anything about these. ie if they are compatable with fish I will intoduce. Any ideas??? He is a creamy gold colour with black eyes.
