Pond water discoloured

My fater in law recently installed a pond into his garden.( aprox 5foot x 8 foot, 2 foot deep). He put is some potted water plants and the fish seem to have knocked 1 over. The water has become very dis-coloured from the clay. What is the best way for him to clear the water. Can he drain a lot of the water/ a little/ put something in there.

What I did when we put our pond in and filled it up and planted it etc.etc. was before I introduced fish into the water, I let the water age. During the ageing and settling procss I added ordinary Accuclear to the water. Within about 6 hours the water was clear. I introduced fish about a week later. Hope this has helped?
You may find that you will suffer with "bloom".Specially prepared straw bales from aquatic centres(not lfs) will help to age your pond naturally.

Cheers for reply Dragon. He has alredy added fish. Would he be able to use accuclear with the fish in there. He has alredy got some of them barley straw packs in.

Yep!
Accuclear is harmless to fish when following the dosage. Dependant on the size of the pond(Litres of water) and how murkey it is I probably would put in a half capful to begin with, stir gently and then wait. The water will go milky at first then should steadily begin to clear.
You should be fine.
