When i was doing my water changes last nigh,t this happened: I can easily get a replacement part, but was wondering what could have caused this to break in such a way.

I noticed that my bristlenose looks very pale compared to when i got him. Could it be a lack of algae in his diet? I am thinking i should put him in the 65 gal tank.

I just put a second Eheim on my 65Gal. Water seems clearer.

Well....i went to teh LFS and ended up with another Eheim. They were on sale so i figured why not. So now i have 2 Eheim 2213 filters in my 65 gal! :D

I have a 65gal with a Eheim 2213 Filter (which is fgood for up to 65 gal) I was wondering if i could add another one?

I'm going to stop by the LFS tonight and ask them. While i'm there i'm going to pick up some more angels, if they have.

The tank is a 65 GAL that has been cycled since last august. I have other fish in there: 3 dwarf gouramis - 3 rams - 6 ottos - 2 siamese algae eaters - 8 Harlequin rasboras - 2 small bala sharks (2") and 1 angel (had 4) water changes every week. around 30-40% water parameters have not changed...

Here's the info. I've had 2 angels (pair) for about a year now and last week i added 2 more angels. Now...one of the new ones died, then today i get home, and one of the originals was dead. I have a 65Gal that gets roughly around 2W-2.5W/Gal. I was thinking of adding a Co2 system, but know nothing about them.

I have a power compact hood running the 2 55W 10 000k lights that came with it. I find the aquarium too bright on the yellow side. Now on my 15G, i have a 6700K Life glo and love the look. My question is if i switch to 6700K on my 60G, will it harm the plants?

It's not crazy algae, but i notice spots here and there, especially the back. Lights are on at 11am, off at 10pm Nitrates 10ppm<

I have 6 ottos and 2 SAE's in my 65 Gal but they can't keep up with the algae. Can someone recommend a good algae eater that would be suitable for a 65 gal.

Well...i did a 40% water change last Wed. It's Mon and the water is clear as can be. I guess it was just a bacteria bloom.

I asked a couple people at the LFS. They basically said do a 30% water change and see. It's probably a bacteria bloom, since the fish are fine and the levels are ok. I'll be doing that 2night.

I'll be stopping by my LFS tomorow. It's a pain because my 20 gal is crystal clear. I do water changes the same day and they have the same parameters.

I have cloudy water in my 3 month old established tank. It looks like a bacteria bloom. Is there anything to do or should i wait it out?

ok..so i went an added a black background. Only thing is now you notice when there is particles floeating around. Any idea on how to get rid of them? Maybe place my output a different way?

I don't use florite in my 20 gal...and the plants grow like crazy. Really depends on the plants you buy. I do use it mixed with gravel in my 65/hi-light tank. Because i have demanding plants there.

Yup...need some growth and a couple more tall plants in the back. I've never been a fan of backgrounds and i usually don't need them because plants fill in the back. this is what it looked like before:

Well...i got tired of my old setup in my 65..so i transfered some plants out and got some new ones. Now i just have to wait for them to grow.

Thanks alot. it's only my second tank (the other one is a 16gal) Here's some of the hardware used for the 65Gal. Eheim classic filter All-Glass compact fluorescent strip light 36" 110W Gravel: 2/3 gravel, 1/3 Floralite No CO2 injection (yet) No fertilizer (yet) I have some hair/brush algae...

I forget the name...but all i know is i got it when it was the size of a golf ball. Now the leaves are bigger than my hand. Is there a max size?

I put 6 ottos in my 65 gal and am wondering how long it will take them to clean up the algae. Maybe i should another kind of algae eater? Would a siamese algae eater get along ok with ottos?

They will go intoo my 16 gal 'new fish' tank for observation then into the 65 gal Or maybe i should put them in the 65 right away...hmmmmm

I was at the LFS today and they had gold rams. I am wondering if they really exist or if they were dyed. They were a canari-yellow color.

I have decided to get some ottos as my 'algae eaters' but am wondering what a good quantity would be. I have heard that there must be no less than 4 for them to be happy. EDIT: 65 us gal so far: 2 Angels, 2 Dwarf Gouramies
