I am trying to raise the ph in my tank.
it is hovering at 6.4 right now.
I have done a 30% water change and am wondering how long it will take to rise if i keep doing water changes?

What kind of fish do you have? Mine is right around 6.4 at the mo...

Anyways, depends on how often you do water changes, how long you have been doing them for etc. A month or two at the most, I'd say. Just don't overdo it and clean it too much. Be patient.

I don't like to use chemicals...i like to do it naturally.
My tap water is 7.1
Tank is 6.4.
I have 2 angels, 2 dwarf gouramis and 2 bala sharks in a 65 gal

Test the KH (carbonate hardness)...if it's too low, it won't hold the pH steady.

KH would be good to know.

With those parameters, and doing 30% water changes, it could take three or four changes before you see a measureable change in your tank's pH.

I'm doing the reverse, lowering my pH from 8.6 to 7.4-7.6 via RO water and it's taken three water changes of about 20% on a 30 gallon to get it to just under 8.0 to 7.8 or so. It's best to do it slowly though or you risk pH shock to the fish.
