    4 band clown loach?

20g is no where near large enough for 2 Clown Loaches, much less 3. I have 4 in my 80g and have been warned about enlarging my school.........No matter how hard it is not too  They can get 10" or more and are active swimmers.

    Newbie

:) Welcome to the most addictive hobby I've ever found :D Couple of things come to mind upon reading your post. You said you left your tank sitting for a month before putting the tetras in, did you fishless cycle your tank during that time? Or what was in it while it sat? Do you have a...

    I am soooooo Glad

You have bloodworms (Midge Fly Larva) Free fish food :D I had them, but my Cories ate them all  Do you use buckets for water changes? If so, you probably got them that way....or at least that's how I did. If you use a python, then that's not it.... It's very possible...

    Sick with ich? loaches

semper fi, from everything I have read and my own experiences, Clown Loaches are very suseptible to Ick. That's the main problem people have with them. The fact that they are the only ones showing simptoms does not suprise me at all. As for treatment, I have used Jungle brand Ick...

    Major Emergency

I noticed something that no one has commented on -_- .....your Clown Loach really should be in 78-82 degrees. Also, hopefully you are aware that they are a schooling fish, so should be in groups of 4 or more (which explains why he's "normally shy"), and they can get up to 10" or more. They do...

    how long would it take.....

I agree with JHT. It will cycle almost immediately with established media. Just to give you an example.....I bought a used 80g. Tore it down, put the media in tank water in baggies, delivered it to my house and set it back up with the established media the same day. I added all new gravel...

    Help with Test Kit Readings

Let's see if I can help a little here..... Just from your readings, I would say your tank is not cycled. However, Ammo lock can give you false reading of ammonia (don't know about NitrItes?) If you have not completed your cycle (or your having a mini-cycle), that should be your first...

    Hi Everyone

My name is Shari and I have been hanging around reading posts for a little while. Decided since I'm a member, I SHOULD introduce myself. I have been raising fish for about 2+ years. Got MTS BAD!!! :*) Started with a little "Aquababies" tank from Target with 3 minnows of some sort. Now...

    Just Curious...

I have one RTS in my 80g with Angels, Gouramis, Congo Tetras, Bolivian Rams and a 6" Pl*co, but he actually hangs with the Clown Loaches like he's one of them. He is NOT aggressive. He will chase the Congos, but I think that's because they are fast and "bug him". He plays chase with the...
