    Bloodred parrot

Not the size but your water quality like ammonia, nitrate/nitrites, ph and alkalinity. Also when was your last water change as well? A clean tank can help with what possibly could be swelling or a possible bacterial infection
  2. FallenPepper

    Bloodred parrot

What's the water parameters in the tank like?
  3. FallenPepper

    Pest snails?

Puffers are great for getting rid of snails
  4. FallenPepper

    White spots on my angelfish

Mix up its diet as well cichlids have issues with hole in head disease generally from feeds or just eating only one thing. Or if your feeding live food gut load the animal that its eating with veg and other nutrients
  5. FallenPepper

    Mystery pleco

Should be fine plecos are hardy let him settle in. There's so many of them it's hard to tell which ones which but he's a cutie though! Should be fine where you have him tbh
  6. FallenPepper

    Help. Parasite?

Metroplex and similar products do well against parasites I think ketoplex or something like that deals with those? Check it out might be helpful but I'd remove your beta and pals into another tank and quarantine in the meantime

    Aw-Oh...leak

It's more about getting used to fixing tanks say if a larger tank like a 90g or even a 75g needs a reseal easier to learn the basics now then later. It's really not that hard too
  8. FallenPepper

    Aw-Oh...leak

Rebuild the tank it's good experience if you ever have a leak on a larger tank too and before you know it you'll be buying used tanks fixing em then selling them for a bit of change
  9. FallenPepper

    Blue Devils in brackish tank

It's a long term thing really my gsp were stunted from being in fresh water for 2 years before I got them and their life unfortunately will br shortened because of it but that's just the effect of improper keeping. Though gsp should go full salt to around .022 when they're large but keeping...

How does the silicone on this secondhand tank look? And is the bubble in the seam ok? My first big tank

Reseal itll fail eventually and it's not too difficult or expensive to do it. Just make sure to let the silicone cure and slowly fill the tank by a few gallons a night and check the next day for leaks after. Learned the hard way lol

    210g spotted congo puffer tank

That's not my fish in the link. I have that fish but not the fish I'm talking about
  12. FallenPepper

    210g spotted congo puffer tank

It's the spotted congo puffer and Amazon puffers that I have all my other puffers arei n their own tank . So the community puffers are in the 210 looking for some possible oddball fish
  13. FallenPepper

    210g spotted congo puffer tank

I've had congo and cave tetras though I moved the caves to a different tank because I had some sharper pieces of wood in the tank and they would bump into them after a water change. And many barbs along with minnows but most are in my girlfriend's tank with her rainbow shark and flag tail cats...
  14. FallenPepper

    210g spotted congo puffer tank

I've kept these guys for years together now they just swim in the bubbles and currents together never had a nipping issue though they do like to check out other fish or swim with them.
  15. FallenPepper

    210g spotted congo puffer tank

I'm upgrading my 75g to a 210 for my freshwater puffers but not too sure what other kind of fish i want with them. I tend to have bards and tetras with them but looking for suggestions for oddball fish to possibly have with them.
  16. FallenPepper

    Missing fish (not found)

Sorry to hear but I'm glad you found em
  17. FallenPepper

    Discus still not eating

    What are you feeding em?
  18. FallenPepper

My friend accidentally had his filter AND heater off for two weeks!!! HELP

Wouldn't hurt to isolate the fish. When I took on some angel fish that had been in a tank for months with out a water change I had non stop ammonia spikes for weeks. I'd quarantine it wouldn't hurt
  19. FallenPepper

    Missing fish (not found)

Any other fish in the tank?
  20. FallenPepper

    Rainbow fish tank mates

I feel all in with rainbows and possibly some shrimp though i do not know how rainbows react to shrimp but panda loaches are cool as well
  21. FallenPepper

75g to 210g and need plants

Will do and I'll probably use these for my 300g as well but thats a whole another beast
  22. FallenPepper

The confusing bio load of Nerite snails.

Might just be overfeeding. Have you tried cutting back on food for them? If your putting in algae wafers maybe cut back the amount you put in for em.
  23. FallenPepper

    Rainbow fish tank mates

Rainbows can really go with a lot of fish tbh as long as they can't be eaten I'd imagine it's a playground. Ive personally kept some with amazon/spotted congo puffers and everyone was happy and no fins were nipped along with bichirs, rainbow sharks and flag tail catfish. Really just get a school...
  24. FallenPepper

    Male or female algae eater?

Smaller is generally the male with most species but if it's just younger then maybe the fin or tail is a different shape
  25. FallenPepper

75g to 210g and need plants

All these suggestions look great along with some tips on keeping plants. Thank you all I'm keeping a lot of these in mind when I start buying plants later this month
  26. FallenPepper

    Ich on filter catridge

How large is your tank btw?
  27. FallenPepper

    New tank with snails

Snails are a blessing for a tank keeps extra food broken down and can help keep a tank clean
  28. FallenPepper

What kind of singular fish can I have with mystery snails?

Gobbies are pretty cool little fish so are loaches. Love me some panda loaches
  29. FallenPepper

    Birthday/Puffer Tank

    Looks great!
  30. FallenPepper

75g to 210g and need plants

Also I have heavy tannins in the water but that doesn't really affect much my ph stays around 7.6
  31. FallenPepper

75g to 210g and need plants

Not consistently but if I get browning or yellowing I might do a dash of flourish iron/excel but generally I let it do its thing also I keep a pinch of salt in my tank along with temps around 79 to 81
  32. FallenPepper

75g to 210g and need plants

African water ferns does look cool I'll keep it in mind
  33. FallenPepper

What are some filters I can build alongside my undergravel filter?

Tank looks great! A sponge filter never hurts though it can look out of place in a more open tank but an under gravel filter on its own should be good
  34. FallenPepper

75g to 210g and need plants

This is the general feel I have for my 75g right now and I'm going for a similar look with my 210g but changing my substrate to a sand/gravel mix (though leaning towards more rock than sand) and good plant choices that allows my fish to hide in the leaves and between plants? I have lots of water...

  38. FallenPepper

What is this white stuff ?

Did you wash/boil the wood before putting it in? Could be mold, but I had this when I first bought spider wood and didn't rinse it first though it went away after I took it out and scrubbed it
  39. FallenPepper

Opinion on what fish to add

A few more blue dwarfs wouldn't hurt or maybe go all in on rasboras? But if you have the filtration for it and it's not too cluttered go for it
