Ok. If I leave it in a bucket for that long it should be good and It would still have beneficial bacteria but no ich?3-4 days without a host(fish) and ich dies.
I don’t have one. Will they die if I don’t?Put an airstone into the bucket. That way the bacteria will get the oxygen and more importantly the water movement they need.
NoDo you have a small filter you can hook on the bucket?
I treated it with a fluid and I had to take out one of them bc it had activated carbonwhy didn't you just leave the filter pad in the filter and treat the tank with heat?
Thanksif you ever get whitespot in your tank again, just do a 90% water change and complete gravel clean, then raise the water temperature to 30C (86F) and keep it there for 2 weeks. It will kill the parasites and you won't need chemicals.
Just make sure you remove any chlorine/ chloramine before adding any new water to the tank, and increase the aeration to maximise the oxygen levels.
