Sounds like a regular tank to me. Algea isn't a bad thing it's really looks unless you have live plants. It's just very efficient when it comes to processing extra nutrients and might end up stealing them from other plants

Is he missing scales on his back where the red spot is? Oh and are there any additives you use for your tank? My cure usually is lots of air and when in doubt kana/metroplex it out when nothing is working and the health is declining rapidly.

Idk I run a tank at 1.020 salinity with a sponge filter and a lamp. Most of that stuff is for tanks with fish that have different requirements and you only have room of .002 for salinity diffrence and your ph has to be like 7.88 on the dot or all your fish will die

Was it developing over time or was it there at time of purchase? Could be a genetic thing or a bacterial infection depending for the lump the finrot I'd do a water change and medicat

Depends on your tank setup really and how much open space you have along with what kind of gobie. I love bumblebee and green mandarin. Personally if you want an active one bumblebees move around and love to dig with them also being a smaller gobie you could have more but they're better with...

Personally I love gobies and with clownfish they tend to be territorial and aggressive so if you got clowns that's really all your getting. Other than that I wish you the best for your tank and would love to see it when its set up!

Angels for me have always been aggressive. I personally dont care for most chiclids because of aggression issues but maybe it was something else that killed your fish idk

I have 2 in my state ones a salt water store and the other just has dead fish and puppy's with kennel cough. I'm jealous can't lie

What are your thoughts on the fishbowl? Its really the only lfs and its stocking is lazy and shipments are sparse. I drive an hour and a half to my favorite store. Where do you tend to go?

Wild caught is starting to move into a seasonal thing which make fish stores carry a mix of both generally summer is wild and winter's are domestic. Unfortunately theres never going to be a lesser evil, but buying locally from breeders who try to reverse the inbreeding is the most expensive...

Nothing wrong with wild caught? If anything they are the healthiest compared to the inbreeding within domestic fish

Nerite are pretty good they dont have many parts sticking out that can be considered a tasty snack to most fish

Only ones I'm worried about are rachovii killi. Feisty little guys and killing their own isn't uncommon

Finally getting my 12 tank breeding rack on the move for killifish can't wait to get everyone settled in though it's only 2 pairs now, but got a few more pairs on their way!

At this point in time it's really not possible just go with a local breeder it's the lesser of the evils if it's what your worried about though tbh Petco isn't that bad depending on your local lfs. It's bad where I'm at for fish store quality.
