you will need a different driver for the xml led's ,xml led voltage around 3v x 3 =9v minimum for the driver is 18v you also want to make sure they are contant current and not constant voltage. so different driver for the xpg aswell

if the led is 1000ma maximum ideal is about 800m - 900 ma that way you get very nearly all the light but without the strain on the led so it lasts longer. well thats what i do in all mine anyway others may think different. if you want the 3w led and less than 20w get 2 10w drivers and run 3x3w...

but that would be only 12w and running the led's flat out and also the driver. It says on the page not to run the driver at full wattage as it will reduce its life. Would work but for how long. your choices now.

looks ok to me but like I said you may need optics on those. thats only 15 watts though and your underdriving them by 35%ish if your sure theres enough light for you then go for it

ok even more simply go to halfords or other car type store and ask for 2 amp wire thats for the led side, go to bandq or other diy store look in their cable section and get twin core 5 amp or above cable. The sizes I posted before will also be listed in the package/sign/label.

never needed lens with these yet they have 140 degree spread which is no worse than you average t5 tube set up, plus by not using lenses it reduces the spotlight effect often seen in set ups that do use lenses. btw ross sent you pm with aluminium.

watts is not a measurement of light it is a measurement of electricity. It is perfectly possible for a 17w lamp to produce the equivalent light output as that of a 75w incandescent lamp. you need to look out for lumens or par or rarely even pur these are the measurments that concern the light...

water companies also add chemicals to alter the ph so that straight from the tap it is within guidelines. these chemicals normally disperse when left sitting for 24 hours.
