I have tried everything possible except drastic measures and can't get rid of the brown pond snails. They breed so fast,slime up everything (including my large mystery snails) & have over run one tank awhile ago. The slime eggs are the hardest. Assassin snails just don't help. I don't know why...

You have to decide if you want a snail that breeds or not. There are a wide variety of beautiful snails out there. Also you need to make sure that you have snail friendly fish.....aquaticarts.com is a great place to get what you want and gives you answers to water parameters and best tank mates...

You reminded me that I have 2 black snails (their name is right there but I can't think of it )they rarely are seen they like to burrow in the substrate and 1 tiger nerite snail with the mix. Plants are growing and I have to trim them a lot and tend to replant the trimmings when possible...
