This is the second time in my life to see my another wild betta,Betta cf pugnax mouthbrooding! Today!!Last week my Betta taeniata was mouth brooding but then he spat out the eggs & failed to raise the fry after I removed him to a smaller tank from the community tank.

A blackwater river in Lingga, near Seri Aman was declared by Sarawak Government,Western Borneo to be a breeding ground for arowana and conservation area. One of the ministers said the Lingga area is too swampy and very difficult to develop the whole area as an oil palm plantation. ;)

they r not clown loaches....!! they r Tiger barb.I still haven't find clown loach.....they are good in hiding in the bottom of the river.I hope I'll find it oneday.

Hi,are u guys talking about this puffer? this 1 is a brackish water puffer but it can survive in freshwater .....but it won't be happy if stay too long in freshwater so better add some salt in your freshwater tank.I never seen juvenile or adult puffer in a totally freshwater stream or...

no...its not a new species but its rare..... ;) Since March 2003 i started to collect wild fish,I finally found it few days ago....

i'll driving north up to Brunei next week...its 13 hours drive!But i'll stop at somewhere else for staying a night otherwise my car will "explode" for driving non stop for 13 hours!.....hope i'll show u guys some great pics...& fish,of course! :P

not sure...i used Digital camera...just try to shoot the best & erase the ugly one....so no idea. :rolleyes: ok,the name of that rasbora confirmed its Rasbora volzii fasciata!

Today found another species of rasbora never seen before...it could be Rasbora volzii fasciata : In the nearby area got a beautiful waterfall : Hope u guys like my photos!! :P

No...just found out its Betta ibanorum......I thought its Betta taeniata because the fins of that Betta a bit blue colored! :no:

Thanks! :P I have to collect the wild fish because the LFS here always sell those ornamental fish especially the hybrid one. I am not interested in ornamental fish such as flower horn Cichlid & arowana....etc.I prefer God creation.

Thanks guys! My hometown is Kuching...just like my name in this forum. Kuching is the largest city in Borneo...but I think compared to New York,its just a small town. Anyway I went back to catch that wild betta....I thought its a new species but i found out its the common one called Betta...

I don't think the LFS is selling the wild betta. So....if u want to buy wild betta,u better go to collect it in the wild. Different state of West M'sia got different species of Wild Betta.....some are quite beautiful but difficult to find. Anyway,i don't know much about the wild betta in West...

India got a lot of strange looking fish.some fish under the rock of fast flowing stream......so its not easy to catch wild fish....but it always fun when u found something interesting.Share with us if u found something! When u r going back to Punjab? ;)
