it does have a valve you just can't see it. Because i have one you don't need it above the tANK

i had that plant in a different tank for months and bought it from a very good fish shop. Also the pics were just before i did my weekly clean. I clean the gravel every week

I don't know if you still have it but it looks to me like you need to add something like a bioflo to your filter to remove all the surface gunk!

get a container, like a plastic box that has a lid stick a tube into it with a airline in it and then fill the rest of the box with filter media!! Simple.

well firstly im not new and my tank has been set up like that for ages. The levels have never been bad and the oxygen level is good. :P

It is a hex and I worked out the gallons in a different way. The filter is a elite stingray 10 which is for a tank twice the size. I have also now got a larger air pump in it so it's not like the water is crap!

yes, it removes lots of thing that can harm fish!!!!!!!

You can lots of guppies as they don't need much sace. You can can have 1 male to every 3 females as they can get horny!

I bought the filter mentioned above and when I was putting it in I noticed holes in the back where the clip for the motor are. Does this mean that the water is being pulled from there instead of the sponges?

The fish would be placed in a bucket that is the same size as the tank with the gravel filter heater etc.

I've had the tank for 3 years now. To start of THEY decided to get a TINY TINY TINY tank to have in the kitchen with some guppies in it. They all got board of them. I looked after them and when they all died of old age i upgraded to the 5g tank. Also I do pay for everything!
