Its all ready to go, just need to find the Figure Eights in my local fish stores which is proving hard. Two Plecs in there to keep it cycled until I find my puffers (no salt in there before you say it). Obviously i'll be getting plants, but does anyone have any suggestions on how to make it look better? I was thinking I should have just wood or just rock, one or the other.

Yeah. I need some new backing paper as you can see, and hopefully I'll get my Figure Eights this week from my local store, they keep saying they're getting them in on a certain date then when I phone them they say they never came :/ Probably be getting small Figure Eights and that store keeps them in freshwater so should I also keep them in fresh until they get older then gradually add the salt?

go on ahead and slowly acclimate them to a very low SG.

i'd skip out on plants unless you mean plastic one; most live plants can't handle the salt. my suggestion is to add more driftwood (lots of long, thin pieces).

not to go against what you said but I think that plants are a possibility in a low SG brackish tank, I've succesfully kept Java fern and Java moss myself in brackish water, and after viewing http://www.plantgeek.net I found this list of brakcish adaptable plants (note I haven't tried anything other then java fern and java moss myself (though I will be trying to hygro soon enough as I have a crap ton of it) but here's the link, give it a look:
