Here is my first attempt at a tank that my wife and I can both enjoy. I started with a 55 gallon tank that I siliconed a lexan wall into. The divider wall is set so that there is 20 inches on one side and 28 on the other. the smaller is the tropical side. I have a fluval 304 taking water from the larger side and depositing it into the smaller side. The larger side is kept lower and a trough was placed in a noth at the top of the wall to make a waterfall.

Small Side:
-------------
2 firemouth ( south american cichlid)
1 pink convict ( south american cichlid)
1 pleco
2 aneus cory cats
1 swordtail ( from the cycle, he is awesome!)
1 black molly
1 large amazon sword ( plant )

Large Side
------------
2 medium sized red belly piranhas ( raised from tiny babies, about to be moved out to a tank with more room)
1 bunch of anacharis
2 bunches of moneywort

oh yeah, and i keep a medium size pleco on the pirahna side. they seem to get along just fine. the pleco actually pushes the RBPs around when he wants through a cave. the P's do however seem to want to steal his algae wafers on occasion. =) go figure. lemme know what u think.
