This one's an upgrade for my guppies and platys and mollies.

Will post some more pics of the tank as it cycles. First ammonia went in yesterday to bring the water up to 5.0 and another 15 drops this morning to bring it back up to 5.0. No nitrites as yet. I also added some filter medium from an established tank to feed my new filter. Here's a pic of that tank with a male bristlenose who wanted his picture taken.

Thanks, yes the background is 3D I've got it on another tank. The BN isn't going in the new tank but I've got some bogwood soaking as we speak and some other bits and bobs to go in. Still playing at the mo' :rolleyes:
 
Day four of adding 15 drops of ammonia daily and I have a nitrite spike already! :hyper: The 'seeded' gravel and filter must have worked.

But do you have that bristlenose in the tank that's currently cycling and having neat ammonia added ? :/ That's not recommended at all I'm afraid and he will go through immense stress (if he makes it).

Ahh on second thought - that bn pic was probably from your established tank - right ? :unsure: :)

Yes the BN is in my mostly catfish tank, don't worry. :D

Reasonable price same as most other backgrounds, can't remember precicely but about £1.50 per foot. It's 18 inches deep so I had to cut it down a bit as the tank is only 15
