omg this is sooooo not right look at how small the cup and jar is poor little bettas

females always seem to get a better life than the males its not fair they should be treated all the same if your going to keep them you should have good enough houseing for them not a poxy little jar or cup they can hardly move OOOOOO makes me so dam mad
 
awwww but urs must have had a better home than them :D treated better to!
i just wanna take them all home with me and get new houseing for them
 
well at one of my pet stores they're even in a smaller container then that. But its a shame something so pretty to be kept in basically nothing... :(
 
Complain to the management of wherever you were at when you took those pics.
The only way something's going to be done about the way bettas are treated is to complain complain complain.

I'm doing my fair share! :D
 
in my lfs they have big tanks with dividers for each betta!!!If they were like that id scream! :-(

Fancyfish Reply: I am still trying to get my Walmart to put airholes in the Betta Containers....today I went and spoke directly with the floor manager. No results yet... but I will no longer buy from that Walmart until changes are made. :byebye:

I will post a new thread shortly on what happened this morning when I saw that even after complaining on last Sunday, last Tuesday and this AM (Friday) the fish are still in substandard care. You won't believe what the "person from pets" said to me and the manager re. the care of the bettas. Flat out lied even. :angry:
 
Aww poor guys :unsure: This makes me frustrated because that 2nd Betta the greenish looked EXACTLY like Tony,my betta that passed last night! :-(
 
I went to the walmart by my house and got a betta from there. The Bettas were in bigger cups than what they had them before but I don't think there are enough airholes. Although they keep the water very clean. At the one that's farther from my house the water from more than half is green and you can barely see the fish. It's pretty sad to see.
At Petsmart it's worse. They have the tiny containers with no airholes and they're all dirty. I don't like going there unless it's urgent.
 
:no: :no: :no: When will these bloody stores ever learn ooooooo id like to stuff one of them in a jar thats for sure :crazy: Poor poor fish it gets me so mad.

that is a hideously small jar I've never seen a betta kept in something that small.
