This is what I find when I go 2 feet near their tank! (Although little mo, on left, is out as soon as I walk in my room)

Sorry for the bad algae problem, I think a bristlenose would clean up this tank nicely but they aren't common near me :grr:

Both about 5 inches in length, of course sunny has a deeper body :)

You're off of sunny's hitlist of "People who ignore me on the internet" :rofl:
 
Very Nice Sev. The ones i find around here dont have that red on their cheeks or does that come with age. What did u buy him as. If i dont go for africans i will be getting some gold sevs
 
I think he was bred special. The store sold him as "Red cheeked gold severum" (They might have added some adjectives to red, like super, or ultra) , and he's had the red on his face since he was 3", and now he's 5" :)
 
i no how you feel about the ignoring thing, i hate that lol i post some pics, they get like 5 replies, then someone posts like a 2.5 gallon with a betta and it goes off the wall with 30 replies! like who can pass up cichlids :dunno:

edit: i believe those sevs go by super red sevs, they are very nice, i kinda want one but i have 3 greens :p

and some of the super red's are some sort of ''pure bred''

I know that feeling as well .




Nothing wrong with greens , anyway the gold is just a color morph of the green , it's the same species .

very nice GEO surnamensis!! love these fish. i have a really nice one... its very blue, i found out it was a SHE cuz it layed eggs. stored the eggs in her mouth. really pretty. i got a younger one in there too... that ones acting aggressive.. even more than the bigger one. i see a senegal in teh backround!! love the purple spotted gudgeon. i also got one and im training it to jump out of the water and get food from my hand. nice tank, keep up the nice pics!

edite: just scrolled thru again, and it looks like your surnamensis is carrying something.. is it just eating or do you think its carrying eggs?
