ok heres the left side of the tank.

Oops forgot to say its 8 x 2 x 2

There is two tunnels built in with pipes which will look abit better when finished but these are for some of the fish to hide in.

Heres the right side. The piece of bog wood at the end is probably approx 28" wide, 22" tall and about 10" deep, its massive but looks tiny in this tank.

You might just be able to make out a shoal of around 30 danios in the tank.

Heres one pic of the sump. This is mainly for paul_v_biker as requested mate, you can see from one of the pics all the outlets for the tank (6 in all) and theres two inlets pumped upto the tank by two AquaClear 5000's

The sump is actually a 4 x 1 x 1 tank :)

And heres one of the outlets of the tank, as I say theres 8 holes, 6 going down to the sump. 2 coming back up. The flow is controlled by turning these up or down.

ah ha, yours is quite different from mine, mines got quite a bit of space for lots of media.

that bundle of hoses is quite confusing :S although I'm pretty sure i'ved got mine sussed!!! bit less space to work with but I'ved found a way to fit it in.

what lph do the aqua clears do?

looks bloody stunning by the way, pitty it isn't a tad wider (front to back).

I just need to get back into work now to pick up a few connectors then go to the plumbing center next door and i'll be up up and away!!

I might have to use some pipes myself, with the ammount of birchirs i'm planning!!

dwarf - the danios are a moving in present lol no only kidding they go back to the shop.

Paul - The sump has plenty of space for media, that trickle tower holds a 50kg bag of alfagrog alone. the sump as I said is actually a 4 foot tank so will be adding more media later but I needed it setup quickly so I could start the cycling process, eventually I will add slots for more sponges, and carbon but thats in a few weeks.

I wanted a wider tank but decided to go long but have already started negotiations with lfs for a 7 x 3 x 3 tank.

The AC5000's do 3800lph each so thats a turn over of the tank of approx 7 times at least plus I have two redundant external 404 's one of which may just be connected to the sump for even more cleaning.

Ah ha, work in progress then.

thats alfagrog  my "alfa grog" is litle white balls!!

excellent, that would enable you to have some longer species then :D

hmmmm any ideas how mnay litres your tank is, i can get an idea if my powerheads are a bit under powered or not then. Mine only do 1500lph each. so mines only being turned over 3.5 times an hour max!!! :/

the tank is 800 litres. and my two pumps do 7600lph max but more likely a combined total of approx 6000lph plus I may include the fluval, either that or sell them on ebay lol

oh crap i need to double up atleast :-( thats going to have to wait until after x-mas!!!

got my other tank to pay for aswell, i was planning on ehiem hobby pumps, think i might aswell stick a pondpump in there!!

hmm i work your tank to be 905litres 8x2x2!! 199UK gallons

yep your right, sorry its 200 gallons lol but just thought it was approx 4 litres to the gallon so just said 800 but its a few more like you said.

Yours might be alright, ask here just in case as I dont really know how much you should have just wanted to put on as much as posible, so check here first just in case you spend money you dont have to.
