I thought I would show what a beanie is, and the best place i have found to buy them. Matt Wheeler is a power seller on Ebay, and thats where I bought my first lot of boxes. I have ordered straight from him since, as well as several people I have told about him. He sells 50 beanies for 39.00 Most people want 50.00 for 50 beanies. I paid 53.00 total, which included the shipping. Here is a pic of one and his email. There is no website. If you decide to order, tell him I recommended him. He has treated me well, and I would like him to know I have told people he does a good job.

The beanie in the pic above is a year old, and has went through several spawns. It is very durable. I'm in the process of buying the equipment needed to hook a system up to them, so the water changes will be a bit easier, and the water quality will stay the same everyday. This is my barracks so far.

They are 3.75 inches at the base, 4 " at the top and 8 " tall. They hold 56 ounces of water.

Is that US fluid ounces?
if so then they are 0.4375 u.s. gallons
and in no way suitable to house betta IMO.

Wolf, I do not house an adult betta in a beanie. If you breed bettas, then you know they go from fry tank to growout to Jarring. The beanies are used for jarring to raise the juvie from the growout stage to about 3 1/2 months to maybe 4 months. I can just see my fishroom with 100 2 gal jars for juvies... Not to mention the water changes.

Ok I hadnot realised that you only use them for babies :*)
no harm no foul.

hmm, I think I'll take 50 of those bad boys. I'll be sure and tell him who sent me f250 ;)

That's a great tip, f250. I'll be ordering some for my next spawn. I'll tell him you sent me, and I'll even be nice! ;)
