I feed them bloodworms and Tetra Tropical Flakes though I'm pretty sure Tropical Flakes are not a good diet. What would you recommend for a high-quality flake food or pellet food?
Also, how often should I feed bloodworms to my bettas and cherry barbs (they're in separate tanks, just wondering how much for each)? Thank you!

Tetra brand food is full of fillers, which aren’t good for your fish.

I would look into trusted, healthy brands, such as Omega One, New Life Spectrum, Fluval, etc.

For the Barbs, I would get Omega One Tropical Flakes and Fluval Bug Bites.

For the Betta, I would get Omega One Betta Buffet Pellets. (I also feed my Betta the Bug Bites, but that’s up to you)

I feed my schooling fish and Betta once a day, 5 times a week, and then fast on the weekends.

Hi, thanks a lot. Just making sure, are these the foods you listed for the barbs? And is the Fluval bug bites the one you feed to both your barbs and betta?

Yes, those are they!

I have the “medium to large fish” Bug Bites, but the small ones work well also.

The size is mixed up on Amazon, so I was confused when I purchased. Either one will do fine. :)

Any food you feed Cherry barbs needs to be ground into a fine powder, they have very small mouths. I like flake food that has no coloring in it. It should look like it has come from nature

My hubby had cherry barbs & was fed flake food of a morning & at 3pm bug bite granules but I put them in a grinder & when you grind them in they go mad.
