Good point. It looks much more like something contaminating than a cycle crash. I forgot to ask about the hand sanitizer!Could there have been any hand sanitiser on your hands? We've had a couple of members lose fish due to sanitiser. It takes a lot of washing and scrubbing to get rid of it and with so many shops insisting we use it now, there can be quite a build up from one shopping trip.

Make sure you de chlorinate the water first. Believe it or not, this happens more than you would think.Thanks everyone a water change is what I’m about to try.
