I agree. A 3.5 is too small for any fish except for a betta.

You could make a really cool shrimp tank though! Get some Nerite snails and some shrimp. (Black crystal shrimp are my all time favorite. They are so pretty!)

Get some blue velvet, blue dream, mustard, cherry, etc. Get creative! :)

Good point. For now, just perfect your AquaScape and your plants. ;)

Have you tried to order off of eBay? I know that they are a Tad bit more expensive, but they repopulate fast. :)

I personally trust my LFS more cause they care sick fish for me and stuff, first LFS I found that is nice.

Before you add anything else, what did your betta die from? Didn’t you just get it?

What about fish, are pea puffers okay?
I just transferred Niblet, my Dwarf Pea Puffer from a 3.5 to a 5g.
I didn't plan on getting her, I just needed some snail relief. She is kind of hassle to take care of, though. You must have a steady supply of "pest" snails, AND I supplement with frozen, then thawed and rinsed, blood worms. She is a picky eater and has been a worry at times.

On the other hand, I put 3 RCS in the 3.5g a week ago and already have fry!!!
I say shrimp, and they are great eaters of many things.
