Added two feather fin catfish to my tank and a week later they both seem to have developed spots all over them , all my other fish are fine any ideas what this may be please and what to do

Can you post a photo of the affected fish, please? Diagnosis is so much easier if we can see the fish :)

Not best pics but hopefully you’ll be able to diagnose , almost looks like there peeling and seem a bit slow moving

I can't tell anything from blurry pictures, sorry :(

If the tank is newly set up and the fish have a creamy white film over their body and fins, there is probably a water quality problem like ammonia or nitrite.

Test the tank water for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH.

Do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every day for a week or until the problem is identified.
Make sure any new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine before it's added to the tank.

Looks like ich to me

Or the spots i saw could be gunk on the glass

So got up early this morning and found both catfish have died ☹️, my tanks not a new set up my water has been tested and in spot on .

I’ve got a really good tank of Malawi cychlids with plenty of cave/hiding places and bogwood . No other fish have shown any symptoms of anything and all seem ok just can’t understand what’s gone on with these two ‍♂️
