IMG_0440 (2) (461x411).jpgHi all I am pretty new to all this but recently was given this tank from a freind and would like some ideas/advice about how to make it look nice lol

The tank is a 150ltr MP Eheim Kristall......

and 1 little onrange fish with black tail unsure what it is which i also rescued from the tank i mentioned..

But i will upload pics of all my fish eventualy lol........... Kelvie

Nice tank! :) Very different indeed! :good:

I would use a darker substrate and have plenty of vibrant green plants. Then mix in a few brown Crypts to contrast. Taller plants towards the back, and some wood with moss attatched to it. Add a few small rocks too.

Looks really cool! Deffo agree on darker substrate!

If it were me, to accentuate the look of the tank, I would buy some 'fake' (i.e. hollow) aquarium roots/wood, and some largish pebbles and construct an isalnd in the midlle, with java fern attached all the way up it :)

To create the illusion of space, and to give a different view from each pane!

IMG_0414.JPGThanks..... The only thing that I dislike about the tank is that the pipes for the ext filter enter the tank through the base of the tank as you can see in this pic......
the green pipe is inlet for filter and the grey pipe is the outlet (cannot be moved)......

That's where a really nice and strategically placed piece of driftwood comes in handy!

IMG_0111.JPGIMG_0115.JPGTrue true,:shifty: I havn't decided exactly what i want or can put in here yet, most of the stuff in the tank was in it when my mate gave me it apart from some of the fish which my partner bought me when i was at work 1 day lol  and her brother gave m a few when he moved house and emptied his old tank.
I will post more pics when i take some lol

heres a few more pics of the tank and filter

Nice filter!! Unfortunately though, the shark will need a bigger tank, they can become aggressive when older... Although the Rainbow Sharks are alot less aggressive than the Red Tail Sharks, but still territorial. How many Black Widdow/Black Skirt Tetra's do you have? They can be a bit nippy if not kept in a decent sized shoal.

Great pics though. :good:

Thanks, I only have 2 black widow/skirt tetra my partner bought about 10 assorted fish when i first got my tank and i was at work lol :shifty: Also i aquired (rescued) another rainbow shark (albino) last week along with what i think look like 2 flying foxes i think that is what they are called, but that is only until i get a bigger tank and some will go in there and some will go into my mates 5ft tank

The sharks will no doubt end up fighting.

i know  thats why im trying 2 hurry my mate along with his tank or get my new tank asap lol.

At the moment they seem 2 be fine together, they swim side by side most of the time and it looks quite cool with 1 of them being albino  I will try to get a pic of them to upload......

IMG_0007.JPGIMG_0017.JPGIMG_0002.JPGjust took some pics of my rainbows and I think the others are Siamese Algea Eater !! Im sure if they are not somebody will correct me lol

Yeah they look like SAE's... they can get aggressive though as they mature. They will also probably fall out with the Sharks as they have a similar body shape...

the siamese elgae eaters are very agressive horrible pesky fish. They grow to quite a big size too, thats if they dont jump out of the tank first!

Kelvie ... what camera are you using on what settings to get such wonderful photos?
