More wood the better imo!

Just gave my fishies some broccoli, they LUURRVEEE it! Especially the tiger barbs

Oh...now the gouramis have found it...

And now the plec has found it...and is seeing off the gouramis!

My Plecs just sit on it when i add it. It don't last very long at all. lol.

Its a sad day. Taking the Pictus Catfish back to my LFS.

I thought he would be ok until I could buy the filter and heater for my other tank to put my tetras in...but no.

He has munched 13 of my 15 neons, in a period of 48 hours

ok, so a little update.

Been dosing SeaChem Flourish Excel (5ml) and TPN+ (2.5ml) per day for about 3 weeks now.

Things are going well, plant growth has really taken off!

I am still getting a bit of browning on some of the leaves, not sure if it is diatoms still lingering about?

Am getting vexed with external filter issues...

Seem to have previously missed this one, must get out more. Nice progress

Is that your Cabomba that's looking brown.? Seems to be pretty standard from what i've read, a lot of people struggle to keep it.

Mine did really well, then started to look like that, then melted from the bottom up.Could be a lack of ferts, if you're using carbon, then 2.5ml of TPN+ doesn't seem very much.(i'm guessing your dose is as per bottle instructions?)

A bit late maybe but i would remove the plec if you have tied the plants down with fishing line unless you want a plec with no head

Hi, i have been very careful with the fishing line, its wrapped round very carefully, seems to have coped very well over the last 3 months?

Looking really nice. Where did you get that bogwood from, after a piece that sort of shape but struggling as not many suppliers near me.

I made it. got some long, pointy bits of driftwood, and fashioned them together with fishing line and stratigic wedging...
