My Upgraded Tank Pictures

no, i think. not a single species of fish has eyes lids...theres just no need for them as eyes lids are to distribute moisture around the exposed part of the eye. fish are underwater so this isnt necessary lol

pink.

Heres an interesting fact though. yes u are right fish dont have eyelids but if you look at a great white shark when they go to feed just before they take a chunk out of something they have aprotective membrane that comes over there eyes to protect them. so when there actually biting down they dont know what there biting on as there biting blind... lol

sorry was completely random but an interesting fact. ill go with the black and see how that compares with the blue.

pics coming shortly. thanks to all who have given input.

Hi Superman1

Have the very same tank, just a previous version.

I have black gravel and a black background and with the two bulbs, it's a good amount of light, I have Crypts, Vallis, Cabomba which has grown like mad and a few Amazon Swords in my tank, and touch wood they seem ok at the moment, but they've only been in about 2 months, so we'll see what happens down the line.

Having such a deep tank, is a real pain to plant though, so hope I don't have to do it too many times!

Hello

wow i would love to have plants that big. i find because of the height u really have to stretch in and you cant really see what ur doing through the sides so setting it up was a pain because the braces is in the way

do u find that the top leaks alot through condensation.
do you just plant the plants straight into the gravel or do you have to have a substrate underneath.

thanks
