Here are some pictures of my 2 kribensis. They aren't very clear so apologies. Can anyone gender them?

Cant see them let alone sex them. :)

Try using photobucket, copy and paste the image code.

yep, got a male and female there. These will be spawning alot.

Yes, they already are i think. Thanks for the genders, i;m shocked to find that the male is the smaller one. The female is stressing out the male a lot hope they'll be ok.

Sorry to add confliction but I reckon the bottom is still a male, just a colourful one. The body profile just looks like a male to me despite the slightly purple tummy.
You'll know for sure if they breed.

both of those fish look female to me.
the tails arent arrow shaped at all like a males should be.
also, there is no extended (dorsal) finage which you normally see on a male krib compared to a female krib.
when you say these have spawned... have the eggs hatched?
im pretty most certain they haven't because im almost certain you have 2 females.
with cichlids, its not rare that 2 females will spawn but, of course, the eggs aren't fertilised so they dont hatch

looks like 2 females to me, but the top one looks so washed out and stressed its hard to say.

once again, both fish are female. the top one does look washed out and the bottom one seems to be dominant which is probably the reason why the top one is washed out.
try replacing one with a male.
males have arrow shaped tails and have longer dorsal fins than females. the longer bit flicks out a little... you'll kno what i mean lol

I am here to state, once and for all, that both of those fish are MALE. They are not a pair, or even both female ( they look nothing like 2 females).

First pic:
Long flowy body, dull coloration, pointed fins, blue pelvic fins= male

Second pic:

Long, flowy body, NO ROUND BELLY, Blue and red pelvic fins= Dominant Male. Breeding males and dominant males look like that.

okay, i dont mean to get petty on this subject but, here is a male/female krib comparison.

notice the longer dorsal fin on the male (below) and the arrow shaped tail. the female has a round tail (with spots) and nothing in the terms of a dorsal fin extension.
plus, these fish have spawned... therefore they can't be 2 males as there wouldn't be eggs :S:

i would have to say the top is female and the bottoms male, have you got any other shots because sometimes angels can play havoc with sexing,
as you see the pics above were my old breeding pair,
but the male was of a different type of krib like albino oscars etc,,,,
did you happen to notice who was laying the eggs and did the other come behind straight after?

Seriously, fin's dont always decipher the sex of a krib. I mean come on, if everyone decided how to sex people by saying only girls had long hair, then boy, there woulb e laot more girls in the world. Does he have actual proof that they spawned? As in he can SEE the eggs / fry, or is he ASSUMING that they spawned. I have seen way more kribs than you, and those are both male if i ever did see one.

humans and fish are completely different animals my friend!
and im not sure if he has actual proof but going by what he says, there's no way they can be both males.
this is just a debate that will never be solved lol
