My Current Fish Space

So i am currently creating another space for fish.

I currently have a 5x2x2 in this room and want to integrate a bigger tank alongside it.

Hopefully creating a space where i can sit and be surrounded by fish whilst watching tv/use the internet.

The blank wall will house a sitting area which i am currently working on.

Would look really nice, but i think it would be alittle cramped if you are having a tv and computer/laptop in there (if its drawn to scale)?

If it's to scale, the room's about 10 feet long. The L-shaped desk I'm at now will fit comfortably in the corner opposite the 155 gallon tank, and could hold a computer and a small TV set, leaving you sitting more or less between the tanks. Provided the door opens out, it should leave you with about as much space as my cubicle at work. I wouldn't mind that much at all if my walls were fish tanks.

on the wall to save space, which will also be integrated with my computer.

Just need to figure out what to do with the seating.
Im probably not gonna go with a desk, but i would need something to house keyboard etc.


Gonna get a few quotes on a curved tank... bet its not gonna be cheap.

If you were in Michigan, there's a guy down near Detroit who has an eBay store. He does amazingly cheap custom tanks - my uncle just got a 250 gallon from him for under $400, but it wasn't curved. Pickup only, though, so not an option for other parts of the country or outside of the US.

For the seating and keyboard, look into Lay-Z-Boy or similar brand, there are some swiveling models. I've seen some with built in TV trays, which might work for the keyboard and mouse. Alternately, a sturdy TV table would work. But definitely get a swiveling chair, something that would be comfortable to sit in for long stretches - all the stuff I do at home would be arranged in arms reach of that chair, I imagine you'd be putting in at least occasional marathons between watching TV, using the computer, and watching the fish. Add a mini-fridge and I'd only leave to go to the bathroom.
