Ooh. I saw the grey/white guy. He had a sibling male of that fish on there too...I liked him a lot, but now I can't find the auctions. :(

I wrote and asked about a female from the pair. I want to buy her so bad, but I can't buy just ONE fish and justify the shipping price. She's white and blue spotted. Neat.

I had a seller send me a picture of this girl...gosh, I want to get her! If I have to pay shipping again for my two fish that weren't sent in this last shipment, I'm going to get her.

I don't quite understand this AquaBid...is it like the eBay of the fish world? lol I have a little tank set up here and empty and I REALLY want one of these fancy little Bettas but I'm kinda nervous about AquaBid. I'm in Canada...are there any pointers anyone can give me about buying fish from there?

It's pretty expensive. If you just want any fish, check your local fish shops. If you're looking for high quality fish, and can spend around $100 to purchase the fish, have it exported, and pay the transhipper fees, plus shipping fees once it's in your country and past customs, it's great. I have 6 fish from there...it's cheaper if you buy them all at once because then there's only one shipping fee, which is the biggest cost outside of the purchase price for the fish.
 
Well, the reason I was looking online for fish is because every Betta in every store here is either dull blue or pink (supposed to be red) and really sick looking. They keep them in those tiny little Betta bowls and their fins are all torn and horrid looking. I honestly don't think it'd live long if I bought one :/

Some of those fish on AquaBid are WOW!! Just beautiful!

I'd bet they would brighten up considerably once you rescued them. Most stores do this, and if I had more money and room, I'd save them all. Poor little guys.

Now Aquabid's... They're just beautiful. I've had to stop myself from drooling on my keyboard several times when looking at them. :drool: I just don't have the money, though. Once I do, I'm getting one!
 
I don't really want to support the shabby fish care of my local fish stores :no:

And this tank is sitting here beside my computer just screaming for a stunning fish :drool:
