A friend of mine needed to get rid of an angelfish, so I took it on, along with her chocolate catfish that needed a home. Here they are, with a current tank shot.

(The angels' name is Jacques Cousteau and the catfish is Pierre)

The up-to-date stocking is:
2 Angels
3 Lemon Tetras (will be adding 3 more)
5 Cordydoras Leucomelas
1 Platydomas Costasus
2 Mystery snails

Yeh a little small for a raphael but as you say its not a permanant home :) looking good, nice angel and a nice high tank for it!

I don't really know much about the raphael. Right now its about 3" long. I've heard they grow to 6"? What sort of tank will it need eventually? I've also heard they live like 22 years!

More like about 8" :) and your looking at 3/4 x adult lengh long (24"+) and atleast 1.5 x adult lengh wide (12" +). Other then that, just usual small catfish needs, some hiding spots and opening swimming space :)

Woops looks like a made a mistake, Your 6" knowledge was spot on :p Use the same rules, im trusting planet catfish over others for accurate size :)

At what point do you think he'll need to be moved to a bigger tank, and what size tank? He's got lots of slate to hide under and seems really happy! Thanks for your help!

As I dont know your dimensions I have no idea :) If its a good 12" wide and 18-24" long he should actually be alright there :) my previous judgment was based on a dodgy site that gave me a wrong size.
