Would a fish be classified as being sad if i just sits on the bottem in its rocks all day? mine actualli hide their heads under the rocks as tho they are scared of something.

If he's doing that not good news he's dying.

There's probably something wrong.
Is he bloated? Does he look like a pinecone?
Is he in a community tank? If so what other fish are in there?
Get some more info, then it would be clearer to see what's wrong with it.

How would he b dieing... iv had them for a while n thei both have done that since the first dai i got em... n thei r still alive...maybe they r just emo fish lol

Not very likely. You need to look for any swelling or scales sticking out, anything unusual. What size tanks, what else are they kept with, what are your water stats, do you add dechlor with water changes etc

maybe your pH's are dangeriously high/low...

chances are your ammonia is fine (cause it sits at the bottom and that would mean they would rather be up top... away from it) but just in case... test your water paramaters...

nh4 should be 0
nitirite 0
nitrate <10

holla

what's the temperature of the water... where are the tanks located... some bettas don't like noise so maybe music is blairing?

give us more info

Are their tanks heated? Are they filtered? If not, are you doing enough water changes with dechlorinated water?

They look ok from the pics. Are they just bored perhaps. They do need some sort of stimulation. Lots of plants and hidey places in their tanks, seeing their reflection or another fish each day, this will help them.

My fish arnt in heated tanks, nor is it filtered, i just change there water. Iv never really been told how much to change them, but i do once a week. There isnt ani thing but those rocks in there. I do have bigger bowls i can put them in, and have lots of fake greenery that can b placed inside for them. Later in march, i am getting a five gallon tank, that will b heated and filtered, its just the point where im trying to keep them healthy long enough to live till i get it.

They don't look like they're dying. Maybe a new little plant will perk them up. Or try moving them. My cousin has one of mine and she said he used to pout like that all day until she moved him to her kitchen table where he can see everything. Now he's happy as a clam.

They are funny little things. One of mine is on my dressing table..happy little girl...then she went into major sulk mode..after a day or so I realised I had moved a bottle of cleanser that had a drawing of an eye on it. I put it next to her tank and she was as happy as she was before! :hyper:

k well i just took and found bigger places for them to live, and am useing my tap water again... and put some plants in them, so hopefulli when thei arrive in those thei wunt like stareing at the counter top anymore :)

umm if you are using tap water use a conditioner... u shoudn't just use straight-from-the-tap water... u have to decholirnate it w/ the conditioner...

chloramines and chlorine is deadly to fish
