Although known to science since 1971, it wasn't until early 2005 by aquarium fish exporters in Peru that after many years and many attempts to find it that this species was rediscovered. It has already been successfully bred in the USA, Germany, Canada and the UK.

Thank you ! These guys just came out of quarantine after a 90 day stay and are all 2"-3" in size with
superb coloration as you can see in the photo. They sell for $25 each.
