Just got this bugger a few days ago.
Sad thing is FFs are slime suckers, and probably won't be able to go with any of my bichirs . Not 100% sure what i'm going to do with him when he gets larger, maybe get a tank to himself

I love Fei Feng's, the only thing that has kept me from getting one is that they are slime suckers like you said.

Very nice fish though.

well i have never had a problem with mine sucking on any of my rays or poly just keep it well fed

I havent had any problems with my one yet either but i have seen one in a shop display that wouldnt stop harrassing and sucking on a motoro in the same tank. I guess it just depends on the individual fish and how much alternative food is available.

i feed him twice per day along with the rest of my fish

so he gets

frozen blood worm ,frozen prawn ,frozen mussel ,frozen cockle,frozen cubes of ruto discus mix at mid day

then at night nutrafin spiralina flake ,tetra prima and a few pellets

i think it would take a very sick fish to just lay their and get sucked to death buy a flag tail proculotis if it sucks on a healthy fish it should just swim away unless the tank is soo small the fish has no were to get away from it

Sounds like quite the good diet,

Well, i already bought the guy, he's eating algae wafers and shrimp pellets so far, will try prawn, fish, and bloodworms soon.
