siamise fighing fish x1
glowlights x4
swordtails x2 m/f

can anybody help before iam fishless and have to start again!!!

Neon tetra's and clown loaches are funny with meds, did it say to half dose in the instructions, how many gallons is the tank, also have you increased aeration as meds and the high temp will dramatically reduce 02 in the water so they can't breath.

the tank is 30 inches long and i have a air curtain running the length of it .
so iam hoping that the o2 levels will be ok
i didnt reduce the meds but each fish which died was covered with whitespot.

Calculate gallons here, as you might of been overstocked as well, and that won't help.

Also need to look into your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, how long has the tank been set up, and when you introduced the fish to the tank.

ok i have worked out the ltrs in my tank it comes to 85.5 ltrs i have been adding 4ml protazin which treats a 60ltr tank

according to the fish supplier i was nearly at max cap for the tank size as i only had small schoaling fish in.

hope this helps

the tank has been set up for some while now and has regular water changes i know where the whitespot came from now but the meds iam using dont to be working

Your tank was overstocked with the clown loaches they need a 90gal tank, and they are very prone to whitespot, and with the small enviroment they would of been stressed, causing and outbreak of whitespot.
Hope the others make it keep an eye on water stats, plus you will have to rehome the siamese fighter fish as the barbs will nipe at the tail, or buy it a tank of its own.
Also do you no the name of the plec.

Your'e using the right med, but sometimes it does take two rounds, you have removed the black carbon from your filter if you use it.

Try research your fish yourself, as some lfs are not worth the time of day.
The plec there are that many couldn't tell you on that description alone.

I would find your info out for yourself, as that lfs isn't helping you out, after a new sale on a massive tank.

the shops i have tried always give confilcting advice so its difficult to know what is right and what is wrong for my tank.
