note that they aren't actually true Zebra Plec's, L46.

There another of the Hypancistrus, although he doesn't specify which L number it is, he kind of dancers around the true ID.

I just bought 6 L260s - Queen Arabesque plecs all 2" - 2.5", a nice hypancistrus, I hope maybe i can breed them. They are only in a 15Gallon today but i have a big internal eheim filter on there so it should be ok for the mo!

These guys are more readily available than zebras and in my opinion just as striking!

oh, and those look like a form of L66 - King Tiger Plec to me. Probably just a varient from further up the river. It even has the characteristic large eyes of the L66.

nice one ben - the 260's are quite easy to get going aparently ;)

the 333 are exactly what you are discribing 'imperial king tigers' :)

I agree about seapet in colchester, I'm always going there buying stuff for my tank...

lol

as this has been bumped to the top...

i looked on ebay for "leopard frog plec" and 0 results, but they offered instead "leopard pattern cushions"

are the TRUE zebra plecs still endangered then?

edit: i think this may answer my own question....

stunning

Yep unfortunately, even though there seem to be lately alot of people still been able to get hold of wild caught :(. I really don't understand there logic when there are plenty of breeders out there now.
