Zebra Danios

My Zebra Danios recently had babies. I never saw any signs of eggs and the offspring were microscopic when I discovered them. The LFS says they are livebearers, which would be consistent with the activity in my tank. All the books, however, state that they are egg layers.

Which one is it?

All danios are egglayers
You should separate the fry from the danios as they'll eat the fry otherwise if the fry are still very small.

I do not think I would put much faith in what your LFS says in the future if they tell people Danios are livebearers.

Yes they are definetly egg layers you probobly just didn't notice the eggs.

The eggs were most probably stuck to plants, driftwood and other ornaments and you didn't see them. Like Tokis said, you should remove the fry as soon as humanly possible, or they'll be snacks.
