Zebra Danios Changing Colors

I've noticed my zebras blue stripes fade to barely blue to a very dark bright blue. They change on a regular basis, but there doesn't seem to be any pattern to it. Day or night, fed or hungry, lights on or dark. Just curious if anyone else has ever noticed their zebras changing colors? I've had them nearly 9 months now, their tank is cycled & everything, they've been doing it since I got them.

My danios change colour quite alot, i presumed it might have been due to the pH, males usually have a yellow tinge and females are cream. But when I introduced 4 new danios to my exsiting 4 the new 4 almost looked sky blue, and now they are almost navy blue. I would also like to know why this happens

colour change in danios is a sign of sexual maturity and the advertising of themselves to mates

So it's ok that they may change colors a couple times a day some days?
