I'm setting up my 120's decor and filtration tomorrow.I love everything about it! Choosing filtration, picking out rocks, choosing a background, deciding where to put the tank, the anticipation of moving my fish, arranging decor,it's all good!!
Actually I like all of it but best bit has to be as CFC says sitting back looking at the tank while the fish swim round looking at you wondering what you're gonna do
Adding the water was my favourite bit so far, i didn't follow the instructions of half filling the tank before adding water, so spent aaagggeees adding the pea and alpine gravel virtually a stone at a time, so had to add the water v. carefully a jug at a time. Husband built the cabinate that the tank sits on so even more careful to make sure i didn't bring the walls crashing down.
No, the most exciting bit was turning on all the electric stuff!!!! But we were both expecting the great movie moment of the tank exploding and washing everything in it's path into the kitchen!!
and again but we are off to buy the fish tomorrow Decided on two black tipped sharks to start us off (if they are compatible with our water)
polished the outside of the glass twice in preparation
I'd have to say all the imagination that flows in your head, you can never be totally happy with your tank you allways want upgrades, so you think of what or how you are going to set up a tank. Imagination.
adding the fish, then adding more fish and planning! i constantly plan for tanks i can't own 'till i move out, and i plan even more for the littlest additions to my tank.
this week: planning to move Pierce and King into a divided 2g tank, buying a 5g for my Goldie and adding three Guppies to my pack
