Hmmm...cories
For those who have kept rummy nose tetras, are they nippy?
I have kept neons and harlequins before, boy are they nippy, every few days i would see a neon with nipped fins and ends up dieing, i gave up on them. The harlequins are the same, everyonce in a while i would see one with nipped fins and ends up dieing.
I want your oppinions on whether or not cardinals or rummys are "nippy", i really dont want to invest in a school of 12, only to find out that they will kill each other, ends up with 1 left and lives for 5 years being the only tetra in the tank. This has happned with my harlequin before, it was very annoying.
Then i thought to myself, maybe i should'nt be blaming them, i had sparkling gouramis with my harlequin and from my experience, they are the real evil and sneaky type, the kind that'll sneak up on my cories and nip them, so the halequins may possibly be nipped wehn they were resting. Funny thing is, the same can be said about the platty which i had with the neons back then, although i didnt witness them nippin the neons i did see them sneak up on my cories...again.
As you can see, im a real fan on cories
I left the forum for a while because i thought my tank was fully stocked and stable, now i want some new fish instead of 100s of guppies, they can be cute at first, a huge family of guppies but now i want something else, fishes that school (rummy nose) and a school of peaceful "sharks" red lined torpedo barb.
Oh and i wouldnt want anything nippin my red lined as well, they are quite expensive in toronto.
Edit: and what about UD Cats, they're interesting, looks cute, but heard some evil things about them
