As above, this is a male Melanotaenia Praecox (The photos not mine, this a grown adult)

Melanotaenia praecox for sale, I wanted to replace my existing stock of six but I've kinda got more than I bargained for. My LFS sells these for £5.
Will consider offers for more than 5 (They love to shoal anyway)

Sorry I can't post as I don't think its fair on the little ones. The larger males are already starting to show to the females. Never expected them to do that so soon.

Word Of Advice

Dont take them to the big stores

They dont care about thefish just the fact they make money out of it

like i went to one around my area they ujst left the fish in a bag to float YET there was barely any water in the bag and half the fish where flapping and a few where dead

Also bigger shops = Bigger rip off.

Small local shops = might not look nice but they quarinteen the fish etc and look after them extremely well

They dont care about thefish just the fact they make money out of it

like i went to one around my area they ujst left the fish in a bag to float YET there was barely any water in the bag and half the fish where flapping and a few where dead

Agree completely, it's even nicer when they go to someone thats actually looking for that type of fish.

I Know what you mean I've been to a few fish shops to find dead fish inside of there tanks (not well looked after AT all)

I Complained about it but no action was taken

just bought 9 of these fish from lfs at £2.50 each and they are great active fish well worth it

Just collected the Rainbows and they are of superb condition and colour! Well worth the travel!

GraphicArts's fish setup is nice too - with all manner of breeding fish - Recommended.

Just a quick update.
All sold now.
Great to meet you stonecoloured, really apreciated your dedication to keeping tropicals and the early morning wakeup call lol
As I told you earlier on the phone, I've now removed approx 20 more fry from the tank while preparing it for my Dutch Rams.
Such is life, fruity little buggers. If they make it in the other tank with the Peacock Gudgeon fry I'll bring them along to Redditch in Dec. for you.
