We won't be keeping real fish in 20 years or so, all synthetic but I suspect they will 'eat' organic matter and process it in a manner that involves waste, so water changes will I suspect still be required :)

I think this same company have also made robotic jelly fish and a huuuge helium filled manta ray :)

Thats brill, cant beat the real thing though.

When the "mass produced" version comes out for the public - where do you recon the bateries will be inserted?

yea, we will all be riding around in flying cars in 20 years too. :shifty:

im sorry, saying we wont be keeping real fish in 20 years is ridiculous. i agree with matchstickman, the whole point of fish keeping is that to a degree its a challenge to keep a living thing alive and thriving in an artificial environment that we made and can change as we please. keeping robot fish is the opposite of what fish keeping is about

EXACTLY

i love keeping fish because at some point they will die.... and i simply cant recharge them ... im not getting anoyed but i think thats more of an incentive.... especialy when a fishs character developes and you watch them grow..... i jump off walls, but imo fishkeeping takes more talent and knowledge

now now folks calm down, it was only an idea. Lets hope you have enough carbon credits to keep your house warm let alone your fish. However, it is ridiculous to rule such an idea out all together for all sorts of reasons!
