i think it would be a wee bit cruel to keep fish in something so small,
what about keeping snails, you could get some malaysian trumpet snails, reproduce like crazy
or do what i did<this is serious, i have a small bowl that we put those glass fishes which dangle from the glass balls and there so easy to keep
Seriously though, if you go with shrimp I suggest Amanos, as cherry reds and the like would breed and overpopulate the little tank. I wouldn't put more than like three shrimp in there. Even if they produce less waste than fish, they still produce waste.
shrimp need filtration. your best bet is a live plant and a betta. if you do want shrimp, buy 5 ghost shrimp and see how long they live. im pretty sure they can go for a month or so. why dont you buy a 3 gallon with built in filter or something. i have one thats filled with all sorts of life.
my mums got a betta in a bowl at room tempurature.
its got a fine littel life, i change its water and feed it, its got lots bigger and is a nice red and blue enriched albino colour.
You can shove a person in a 2 meter by 2 meter cell and keep it at 18 degrees C. Let them relieve themselves in the corner and hose out the cell once a day to get some of it out. The person in it will survive fine, doesn't mean they enjoy any moment of it.
