I called my local betta shop and they just got a shipment of female and male bettas in. They have halfmoons and Crowntails. They have GREAT prices too. $4. HEHEHE! I'm leaving in 15 min. to take a look. I'll let you guys know what I got when I get home! I can't wait. (It's like finding treasure. LOL)

wow great find! hopefully you pick out a good one!.

A tip on the HMs, if they arnt flaring most hm tails look like the ends of brooms, if you can see what i am saying.

I have a store here that also sells crowns for 4 bucks. ^^ Wish I would have known that before I'd paid 14 for mine. >_>

lol $14....you say that like it is alot lol. I paid over $20 for mine, and that's the cheapest one I saw on AB . (which is high I think..for fish you aren't going to breed lol)

I wish our stores would carry some like that....or do i? hmmm Maybe its best they don't, now that I think about it lol.

For $4 each...oh my Lord..I'd be covered up in fish .


As for posting a favorite Betta...hmmmm

I would say Han is my Favorite ...he is the friendliest, funniest, most active, fish with the best attitude and funiest character..I've ever seen in my life. I bet if I took the time..I could teach this fish a trick lol. (he might already know one..he will jump out of the water when I wave my hand over the tank lol)

He's just a LFS betta, and he only cost $2..but he is by far, out of all the ones I have..my very favorite. (and he really likes me which makes it even better lol) He's totally a mutt, and you can tell it. He's got a lavender body, with a tail that goes from green to gold to mauve to white to clear lol. But he's my mutt and I him.

Everytime I go to Petco I come home with another Delta or Superdelta for $3.50. I kind of had to stop going to Petco. )

I don't have a favorite betta, but I got this guy last time I went to Petco, he's pretty neat. Doesn't flare though.

where are you located!

i get an occassional combtail and i have a crowntail and double tail female from my local stores. but...


i did just pick up 2 really cool colored veiltails one is a blue cambodian (is there such a thing?) anyways, he is snow white with beautiful turquise fins. his buddy in a marble i gues...he is also snow whitee, but has what looks like a part of a butterfly band around the caudal fin. his fins are transparant!

i will post pics of them and my beautiful tsunami babies as soon as i download them!

Han is gorgeous, and I'm dying to find out how the fish expedition went for jacquelyn. If mutts are all the Bettas with more than one colour then LONG LIVE mutts...I think they're much nicer looking than the all one colour Bettas, more eyecatching too. Mutts forever!

OMG! I brought a beautiful Crown tail! I'm so excited. He is bright royal blue and was very energetic in his lil cup. I will try to get pics asap. My battery on my cam went dead! I want to try to find a royal blue crown female and breed him once I get some extra cash! I can't wait to try gettin some babies from him!

Just went back there and bought another fish. *_* She had Emerald Bettas in and I had to get one. Wish she would get in some females...

SRC, it is a lot when you don't have a steady income! But I love my crowntail. I'm starting to get covered up in fish myself. XD

Ok, I got pics of both my crown tails just now. I have to bring them to my friends house to upload them because I don't have the software. (It's his digital cam) He puts my pics on a disk then hopefully I'll have them posted tomorrow on my yahoo account for everyone to see. I got some girlie pics too! I can't wait to show everyone.

Ps. Newfishies, I'm located in San Diego. There is a place called aquatic warehouse and they always have awsome fish there! All there male bettas are in filtered cup thingys. They have a really great set up. All there females are in a large community tank instead of stale water cups too.

i used to live in san diego!!! (carlsbad actually) i wish i was still there, cause although i love the fish that i have found here i am DYING for a half moon, a butterfly and a green betta and none to be found anywhere near boston (which is where i am now)

when i find the right ones on line, i will take the plunge and order them!!
