Your tank looks really nice! Your plecs look like bristlenoses - small yet though so got a bit of growing to do, but they won't get big!

Well I learn something new everyday i thought they were bristlenose but had not realised females were bristle-less

As for the ram,I will have to find out more on the sexing as i am still new to all this and trying to distinguishing male and female...besides the obvious

I will post un the rams death in emergencies,although its not an emergency as he/she is dead

Very nice tank! And you say you are a newbie, eh! The lay-out with the plants is very nice.

About your ram: they are very sensitive, and should only be introduced in mature tanks, and even then, can die easily. I introduced them into a tank set-up of almost a year old, with very stable parameters, and still they didn't make it.
