Yf Can Taste The Salt..

Im at my girlfriends at the mo, the weather is quite warm here.
Im fairly worried about the tank, but surely even if it does get quite hot, there are no fish in there so it should be ok..shouldnt it?
I think my next investment is some fans to put inside the hood to cool it down if needed, as I think thats more important than livestock etc.
Anybody know how much this would cost me?

YF

There are fans in the hood already  YF - even in a heatwave I was able to control the temp just by turning the lights off and having an ordinary fan in the room :good:

Oh, thats what the light is noisy .
My bad, lol.
Seffie did mr.seffie tell you I rang him? I got abit confused so gave him a ring.
I didnt realise they emailed me until they had gone, it just so happend that I saw a car go by slowly with somthing in the back.
So I ran to the door and they drove back by, so I gave them the signal.
And then bammmm the orca was in my room.
Seffie, it wont have any affect if I leave the moonlights on all night will it?

- Also, have you had problems with the powerhead? Because it doesnt seem to stick on the glass properly, I need to play with it more as im still not happy with it, and one of the frags you gave me on a little pink plate is getting a right blast from it, One of the heads opened up with it, but the other one was just swaying all over the place so I need to move it abit and fix it.

YF

I bet those men knocked the magnet off  put in Ben's for now, if it has a magnet and I will text Mr Trod now :good:

:fish:

It's not in the car or on our drive - have a look on your drive in case it got knocked off as it was being carried in - it's a round black magnet with a black plastic covering

S

pps - does nyone know where i can buy a spare magnet in case YF can't find it?

Hi YF, think it was Mr Trod you rang, he said you had spoken to him on the phone :good:

Come on get those pictures up

Auntie Marine
:fun:

A black magnet? so somthing goes on the outside of the tank aswell?
I might be on the powerhead, does it attach to that like the algea thing does?
We might not of removed it.
Bens has the same problem.
Auntie Marine patience is a vertue :p
Oooh, so I have mr.trods number, he was very nice explaining to me about the R.O unit.
Good job my grandad understood it, as it went in one ear and out of the other.
As he was talking about the coloured cables, I was just thinking about the rock, as a peice was out of the water the whole transport.
:p

Yep it just like the algae cleaner powerhead goes on inside, magnet goes on outside :good:
You certainly do have Mr Trods number, the RO unit really is easy to attach to water pipe, just make sure its a mains fed pipe or you won't have enough pressure, you can get the ball valves from here http://www.ro-man.com/shop/product_info.ph...3e8e41a21877a66, get 3, then put one on inlet pipe, one on RO water outlet pipe and one on waste outlet pipe, then just turn off the RO water and Waste water valves and the membrane will stay wet all the time, the one on the inlet pipe can stay open all the time, but its good to have for maintentance if you ever need to take unit out :good: hope that makes sense

Ok, here are the pictures, with flash and without flash just to give you more idea of what it looks like, although when it looks like you can see all the detail on the actual rock (like the 2nd photo of the list) it actually doesnt look like that, it looks more like the first photo on the list.

The zoas that always fully open, I love these guys!:

Tried to get a picture of another coral with a few heads, they has bright green on them but camera wouldnt focus, I think I need to move the powerhead from them, some seem happy with it and some dont but I need to move it up more anyway (the powerhead):

The frag garden:

The frags I got off seffie are amazing, all open apart from a couple of zoas, but they are opening slowly. However the two from the guy I got the live rock on dont seem to have survived. One I think is dead, the other mr.hermit didnt like so has tipped the rock upside down, so I will turn it up ASAP and see how it is. But hes always tipping it lol.

I couldnt be happier, well I would of been a little bit happier if the corals I got off that guy had survived, im going to leave them be, as they might just be sulking. The tank temp is at 28c, which is perfect. I had a look for that powerhead thing but couldnt find it anywhere, so we are going to try and use the magnet from the algea scraper as we have a few laying about. Im going to test my water in a couple of hours, so what do you all think to the shots? I know there not the best quality, I really need to get a new camera but I have more important things to buy first.

YF

Just a quick question, am I ok to remove that "Grass" I will leave the clump nearer to the back, I just want to take the odd bits on the front wall thing out.
