Yf Can Taste The Salt..

Ah fair enough jenny!

Urghhh.
Things have been slowed down even more now.
Got home yesterday to find RSPCA slip through the door telling me to ring them.
So I did as its my dog.
They said "we have a complaint that your dog is left outside all day with no shelter".
Tell me if im wrong but is 8am-11am all day?
And is a big shed no shelter?
Urghh. I know who reported them and its really annoyed me.
As they asked my dad to sign somthing for there extension so they dont have to call someone out and pay.
But now they can get... ill let you imagine what the last word was.
So I had to go out last night and spend £169 on a dog kennel kind of thing for him.
So there goes ALL of my marine fund.
Luckily its my birthday next month so hopefully it should be regained.
The only thing that really winds me up is why they couldnt just come and tell me how they felt.
I walk my dog everyday, play with him throughout the day as he is a staff pup and has tons of energy.
Yet I have NEVER saw them walk either of there dogs nor play with them at all.
I really think they should mind there own business and sort it out before they get involved with mine.
Oh well, its all settled now. Just have to wait till they ask my dad to sign the form. HA!

bad luck mate.

people just can't help themselves sometimes to interfere!
i'm sure you care about your dog and wouldn't do anything to harm it but some people just can't see the wood for the trees!

fingers crossed you find some funds and get your tank going.

second hand equipment is definitely the way to go!
check out the classifieds section on UR, always people breaking their tanks down so some really good deals can be had.

Yeah I keep checking it everyday mate.
I know really annoys me.
The RSCPA bloke is coming round on friday im quite happy about it.
He will walk in the front room see the 50+ statues of English Bull Terriors and then will realise.
We are CRAZY about dogs.
I have holiday in 3 weeks, then birthday, then ireland for a weekend, then driving + marine.
Wow!
Busy next 6+ months.
Ah well, im sure it will be werfit!

Alot of dog owwners in general do not like Staffies, I know this, you take your dog to the vets, the little old women with a ####zu picks her dog up because yours is evil (regardless that her dog is the one barking and growling).

Some people just do not like bull terriers of any description. 8am till 11 am is nothing, that is usually a play time (outside) for my staffie, he plays with his indestructable ball for 5-6 hrs solid if you let him. Many people do not understand the SBT breed, sounds like your neighbours are one of them.

I do not see why you had to buy a kennel though if he had a shed to go to that was raised off the ground along with fresh water (they incidentally are RSPCA requirements, I know I reported one myself yrs ago, he was outside day and night and the kennel sat on the floor).

Good Luck with the Dog, they are a most rewarding breed, and my living room has tons of Staffies and Bulldogs all over the walls and in units too.

The shed was raised off the ground, but we needed a new one as my dad was planning to take it down anyway.
Ive been raised up with dogs.
Had a staff when I was like 2-3 but my dad gave him to a farmer as he had tons of energy, to much to handle.
So we thought a farm would be the best place.
Then we had english bull terriors, now this is my first official dog.
Ive always said its not the dog, nor the breed its the upbringing that revolves its behaviour.
Oh well, its happend now nothing we can do.
Time to start saving up again..

Sorry about your Troubles YF. Some people have to much time on their hands, The world would be a lot better place if people just talked to each other, Why on earth couldn't they just come round and voice their concerns to your family, tut, some people.

I hate it that people waste the time of organisations like the RSPCA, ouchie at the cost of a kennel.

You're due some good luck soon, maybe you could drop lots of hints to family & friends & leave details of a supplier of the 550 laying around, see if they could all chip in & buy it for you for your birthday :good:

Just what I was going to say :D

With regard to nosey neighbours and such I hate that sort of thing!

Well I have asked everyone for money.
Mum and dad have already payed for 10 driving lessons (£100)
as my uncle is an instructer.
When I get back off holiday, I should have a fair bit for driving.
But if I see a bargain 550 then well..
Driving will last forever, the bargain wont!
:p

Had the RSPCA man seen the shed??

As long as the dog has shelter from the rain and sun, especially for that short period, the shed should have been fine. If the dog was living outside day and night then it is different.

I can understand some people reporting dogs rather than speaking to owners, some people can be very aggressive if you critisize them in any way, genuine neglect I believe is one those times. This just sounds like your neighbours have a problem with your family, not that they were concerned about the dog in any way.

Staffies need the time outside, it allows them to run about and let out their boisterousness, you are not anything wrong at all.

The RSPCA man hadn't seen the shed.
But theres a lot of chewed wood etc on it from the old dogs and the staffy.
Its bought now and set up, just been outside since 11 clearing out the garden.
Its fairly big, my dad has had his redundancy through so we are going to get back on top of the garden.
I dont care if they have a problem tbh.
Let them be pathetic.
Revenge is sweet.

It annoys me when people are just trying to cause trouble like that, I have a Japanese Akita and I got reported a couple of years ago for 'neglect', the RSPCA came round to inspect, luckily I was in when they came. They could not believe that some one had wasted their time. I have a large back garden (about the size of a 5 aside footie pitch), she has a massive kennel and we take her out 3 times a day.

Just chalk it up to one of lifes experiences YF

PS I love Staff's and so does Ellie (my Japanese Akita)

Lol remember, revenge is a dish best served cold !!!

sorry to hear about your troubles mate :(

everything can only get better :)

I know what you mean about people not liking "bully" breeds. My 6 month old puppy used to have more of a pit bull look and I actually overheard one of my neighbors swearing about him one day. I have photos of him from about 6 weeks old up to now in the Household Pets section if you want to see how he used to look a bit pit bullish.

Sorry about the bad luck. Hope you get lots of $$ for your birthday :D
