1g divided tank. That is waaay to small. Seriously need to upgrade them asap.

I'm sure they're very pretty. They'd look even prettier in a decent tank.

They need 5 gallons each filtered and heated . You can pick up second hand tanks very cheaply if you look in the right places. There is no need for them to be in 1 g , that's FAR far too small.

Congrats on getting them! :) You should upgrade them to at least 2.5 gallons each. They will be fine in the 1 gallon for a while, but try to upgrade them soon. You should be able to find a minibow 2.5 tank at about any pet store, like this one (below). My betta lives in one and he has been doing great in it.

That's stupendously hideous and much too small. I dread to think how much those are new. It's astonishing how much stores charge for pots like that and sell them as supposedly"complete" setups for fish that don't belong in them ( usually goldfish and bettas ).

You can blast that out of the water with a cheap second hand 5 gallon setup.

Bettas can live in that. Mine has been living in it for a long time and like I said, he's doing great. I know they would probably like the 5 gallon more, but they can live in that.

The fact that they can does not mean they should. Most people have or can make space for a 5 gallon. 12-14 square inches of space is all it takes.

There is a differance between surviving and living. To be honest, your Betta's could do with a little more space. 1/2 a gallon each is not enough for them. If you want to see them at their best I suggest upgrading to a 10 gallon, that way they can have 5 gallons each.

Yes, but not every person has the money to buy tanks...
I know you like your car boot sales but remember there isn't a car boot sale everywhere.

It varies person to person but 3g-5g is more or less the suitable tanks for bettas and a healthy lifestyle, obviously larger the better, hope the new addition is settling in but if they have half gallon each then I really would recommend an upgrade soon or you could be look at unwell boys.

its not as if its your fault you got told wrong clearly you do need to upgrade tho

ok so im a kid i got this tank about a lets see 3 days ago im sorry!
