i want to keep an arrow crab, (this species) and i was told that it cannot be housed with feather dusters, shrimp, slow moving fish, and crustaceans. Is this true? liveaquaria says its reef safe. if i do get one will a thorny oyster and pixy hawfish cause any problems if housed together?

IMO not reef safe

Will also eat Bristle Worms

Not reef afe. They are like any other crab.. Opportunitsts. This means they will grab a meal whereever and whenever they can catch one. You might be lucky and your will never give you trouble yet i also know of arrowheads that have speared and killed clowns and dwarf angels so they are definately not 100% safe.

yeah when i pm'd you navarre about the crab i trust your advice, but when i went to liveaquaria.com they said it was reef safe (but obvoiusly not) i thought maybe you were thinking of a different species of arrow crab. But obviously you know your stuff, sorry bout that

I wouldnt take everything that Live Aquaria says as true

IMO reefers on here have hands on experience & are not trying to sell anyone anything

I would take Nav's advice over most

JMHO
